Video For New Single “Uncountry” to Premier in September, Album Available Now!

August 9, 2011 – Los Angeles’ own Jason Charles Miller brings his “Uncountry” Southern influence to the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine, CA, Saturday, where he’ll be part of Go Fest 2011, hosted by Southern California’s largest country radio station, Go Country 105.

Miller will open the festival sidestage, sharing a bill with Toby Keith, Eric Church and JT Hodges, and performing alongside Bradley Gaskin and Peter Brandon as he features material from his full-length solo debut, Uncountry. The album includes the single “You Get What You Pay For,” which premiered last season on HBO’s hit television series True Blood. The full-length release will be available in physical formats at the show and through Miller’s website, and will be available via all digital outlets in September.

Miller recently shot a video for the album’s title track, “Uncountry,” which features acclaimed actor Robert Picardo, whose television credits include Stargate: Atlantis, Chuck, Castle and CSI: NY. The clip will also debut in September.

Two tracks from the new release – “The Devil” and “Drag Me Down” – are currently available for free download at www.jasoncharlesmiller.com. “You Get What You Pay For” is currently available on iTunes, and also in production for play on the X-box platform of the Rock Band video games.

While many are calling Miller’s sound a progression from his role as frontman and principal songwriter of the rock band Godhead, it can more accurately be called a regression. His solo material strips away the technical evolution and electronics of Godhead, relying instead on the bare bones of his singer-songwriter roots, and the primal influence of artists including Johnny Cash, Neil Young, Kris Kristofferson and Willie Nelson.

Upcoming Jason Charles Miller performances:

August 13 Irvine, CA Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre (Go Fest 2011) September 1 Hollywood, CA Three Clubs (free show, sponsored by Coffin Case) September 18 San Luis Obispo, CA Pazo Saloon (w/ Gary Allan)
